The provincial government is investing more than $426,800 to enhance Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams (MCIT) at the Peterborough Police Service and the Peterborough County OPP.
During an announcement Friday, held outside of the Peterborough police station on Water Street, MPP Dave Smith explained that $240,000 would be allocated to the Peterborough Police Service’s MCIT program, while an additional $186,860.34 would go to support the local OPP’s Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT).
