Like it does every year, the Shri Dharmic Leela Committee had started preparing for the Ram Leela at the Red Fort Maidan months in advance. It got the invitation cards with VVIP names printed over two months ago, when Jagdeep Dhankhar was still the country’s Vice-President. Now, after Dhankhar’s exit and election of CP Radhakrishnan as the new Vice-President, the former’s name on the card has been masked with a tape as the last resort. The other VVIPs mentioned in the invitee list, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Sonia Gandhi, are yet to confirm their presence for Vijayadashami on October 2, said sources.
