Xavier Gipson is with his third team in 12 days, and it’s challenging to bounce around like that but Gipson knows the people that survive in the NFL are the ones who can navigate those sorts of challenges.

“I mean, it’s life, ya know?” Gipson said at his locker Wednesday. “You’ve got to know how to adapt. You’ve got to know how to keep having faith in yourself.”

Gipson, 24, made the Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver out of Stephen F. Austin in 2023. He caught 21 passes for 229 yards as a rookie, but his main responsibility in two years with the Jets was returning. He averaged 8.9 yards and a touchdown on 68 punt returns and 26.0 yards on 44 kick returns.
