With rain chances left in the dust, this trend of dry and warm weather is here to stay. An omega block-like pattern over the central United States, pulling in this warm and dry air, is the cause behind these conditions. Most of the country is in the same boat- experiencing warm temperatures and a lack of much precipitation.
Temperatures are above average (~76°F) for this time of year, feeling more like late summer than fall. We can expect to stay in the 80’s for the rest of this Mizzou Homecoming weekend and into next week.
Minimal cloud cover and abundant sunshine is expected this weekend, but a slight inflow of clouds is anticipated next week.
