Three decades after the bombing that scarred downtown Oklahoma City, The Survivor Tree stood watch over Mayor David Holt and more than 30 other mayors who signed a declaration that denounced political violence.

The Oklahoma City Declaration recognizes our shared humanity and reaffirms commitment to core American values like pluralism, compromise, truth and civility, Holt said in a news conference at Vast in the Devon Tower, after the signing.
