LOWER MANHATTAN — AFTER AN IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT AGENT was allegedly filmed assaulting a woman at 26 Federal Plaza in Manhattan, New York City Comptroller Brad Lander and U.S. Rep. Dan Goldman, who represents Western Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, referred the agent to Attorney General Pam Bondi and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayon for felony prosecution.

The unidentified ICE agent was recorded on video , broadcast by CBS, “violently and unnecessarily throwing the victim,” identified as Monica, to the ground in front of her two young children, Lander and Goldman said. She reportedly suffered a head injury requiring treatment at a hospital. The incident took place shortly after ICE agents detained Monica’s husband following a routine court
