MUSKEGON, Mich. — Ryan Leestma still has a positive outlook on the multi-million dollar Adelaide Pointe project, which includes a marina, boat storage and condos that are yet to come.

"We're working through the problems," said Leestma. "We're going to continue to work through the problems. And, you know, it's going to be what everybody is seeing and what they want it to be."

However, he and the Muskegon lakeshore development have been named in a civil complaint filed in the 17th Circuit Court in Grand Rapids by one of their banks.

The complaint alleges that Leestma and Adelaide Pointe have defaulted on part of a loan, around $17 million. Court documents said the loans matured in July of this year.
