MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland believes it's time for a change of the guard at Middle Tennessee State University.

"I 100% think we need new leadership at MTSU," McFarland said.

During a 45 minute Facebook live, he spoke about safety concerns on university properties and how disappointed he was in the school's aerospace program leaving the city's airport. He added that the airport had become overwhelmed with the program's growth.
