NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro Nashville Public Schools has hundreds of laptops reported missing or stolen. Those are devices paid for with taxpayer dollars down the drain.
News 2 uncovered this information after Antioch High School had several reports of theft.
"Since electronics became such a thing that every child basically has, it became an issue. It's not just laptops. It's tablets; it's iPhone," National Association of School Resource Officers Executive Director Mo Canady said.

According to data from the Metro Nashville Police Department, Antioch High School has seen several calls for service for theft over the last 12 weeks. Records show there have been 47 reports filed for stolen or missing laptops.
