Detectives have finally found the "penis man."
Tempe police arrested 36-year-old Tanner Ballengee on Sept. 25 on two counts of criminal damage in connection with graffiti incidents that occurred in July and August near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard, according to the department.
Over the past several months, detectives received multiple reports of the phrase "Penis Man" being spray-painted on buildings throughout Tempe. While most incidents were not captured on surveillance cameras, investigators were able to link Ballengee to two cases. He admitted to the graffiti, police said.
Detectives are still determining whether Ballengee is linked to more "penis man" incidents. More charges are to be expected, police said.
