LSU running back Caden Durham is doubtful to play on Saturday in the Tigers' road clash with Ole Miss , ESPN reported on Friday.

Durham, LSU's leading rusher, injured his ankle in the second quarter of the Tigers' win over Southeastern Louisiana last week. Coach Brian Kelly said he did not suffer a high-ankle sprain and that he could return to the field as soon as Saturday against the No. 13 Rebels (4-0), though he and his staff needed to see how the tailback responded to practice throughout the week.

LSU listed Durham as questionable on Wednesday, when the SEC released its first availability reports of the week. Then Kelly said on Thursday that he'd be a game-time decision.

Now, according to ESPN, Durham is unlikely to suit up.
