DILLON, Mont. – Dillon residents are being urged to stay vigilant as two TikTok trends are causing concern in the community.
The first trend involves the “Apple Pay” prank, where individuals play the Apple Pay sound to falsely indicate that money was sent. This prank can lead to misunderstandings and distress among those targeted.
Another trend involves urinating in public, which is not just a prank but can result in charges such as public nuisance, disorderly conduct, or criminal trespass.
These actions, while sometimes labeled as harmless pranks, have the potential to cause real distress and impact the community negatively.
Authorities are asking anyone who has witnessed these incidents or has video or information to contact the Dillon Police Department at (406) 683-3701.
