Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday virtually addressed more than 57,000 gram pradhans and panchayat members, urging them to take an active role in shaping the Uttar Pradesh government’s long-term development plan, “Viksit UP@2047”, according to an official statement.

The hour-long interaction, organised as a mass outreach to village leaders, opened with a short film explaining the campaign and the ways citizens can submit suggestions through a QR code and the Samarth portal, the statement said.

“In achieving this goal of making India powerful in the world, Gram Panchayats and Gram Pradhans play the most important role,” the Chief Minister said addressing village representatives.
