PLAINS, Ga. (WALB) - The countdown to the Plains Peanut Festival is on, and organizers are inviting the community to enjoy a full day of fall fun this Saturday, Sept. 27.

From races and rides to music and parades, the festival will feature activities for all ages, along with plenty of arts, crafts, and food.

Schedule of Events:

8 a.m. – Fun Run

8:30 a.m. – 5K

10 a.m. – Sumter Cycling 7-Mile Bike Ride (starting at Buffalo Peanut)

11 a.m. – Peanut Parade

7 p.m. – Music on Main Street featuring The Grapevine Band

Organizers encourage families to come early, wear comfortable shoes, and enjoy all the festivities celebrating Plains’ peanut-growing heritage.
