Edwards honors local industry leaders during Concrete Pipe Week

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Concrete Pipe Week is wrapping up in Louisiana, but the work to improve drainage in Baton Rouge is still underway. The MOVEBR road project to connect Essen Lane to Blue Bonnet Boulevard is days away from installing large drainage pipes, awaiting action from the project contractor, according to a spokesperson from pipe developer Rinker Materials.

On Friday, East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sid Edwards met with industry leaders to highlight the importance of underground drainage infrastructure. Edwards presented a proclamation to emphasize the initiative.
