Washington, D.C. – Bob Barnett, a renowned lawyer from Washington, D.C., has passed away at the age of 79. His wife confirmed his death.

Barnett was a prominent lawyer and dealmaker, representing some of the most notable American politicians and figures over the last 50 years. Known for his Democratic politics, he worked with clients on both sides of the aisle.

He represented a diverse group of politicians, including Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, President Bill Clinton and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
