EMORY, Va. – Football recruiters at all levels are familiar with Zebulon Vance and Julius Chambers High School in Charlotte.

Along with several National Football League players, the institution is the home of numerous championships and collegiate football standouts.

Vance was renamed in 2021 as Julius Chambers in honor of the famed civil rights attorney.

Emory & Henry senior defensive back Tyreon Porter knows the far-reaching story.

“Athletes from Vance and Chambers take great pride in their team,” Porter said. “A lot of talented guys have come through the program and gone on to big things.”
