(NewsNation) — Democratic strategist Chuck Rocha criticized former Vice President Kamala Harris' book tour, saying it won't help the party win future elections and amounts to "rehashing the worst election we ever had."

Rocha, who has run Democratic campaigns for 36 years, told NewsNation’s “Batya!” that Harris' promotion of her book "107 Days" feels like salt being rubbed in a wound. He pointed to the party's poor performance in the 2024 election, noting Democrats underperformed in about 96% of counties compared to Joe Biden's 2020 results.

"I don't think looking back and rehashing the worst election we ever had" is helpful, he said. "I think it's time to be looking at what the party needs to do to move forward.".
