FRACKVILLE, Pa. — It's a rare sight to see an empty football field on a Friday evening this time of year, but after recent events , the Lackawanna Trail School District decided it was in everyone’s best interest to postpone the game against Old Forge until Sunday.

"Obviously, I don't want to speak for the school district because it was their call, but I think it was made in the abundance of caution and extra measure while we sort through the facts in this case,” said Joe Peters, the Wyoming County District Attorney.

The case is about an incident, state police say took place on Sept. 16, where a Lackawanna Trail High School student attempted to climb a maintenance garage on campus during a scheduled fire drill.
