This weekend kicks off the 11th year of the Chattanooga IRONMAN. If you have been to the downtown area, it's hard to miss the setup along Riverfront Parkway. However, one part of the preparation for race day is a bit more challenging to see, but it is nonetheless important. The Tennessee River. Last September, the swim portion of the Chattanooga IRONMAN was canceled due to flow rates. This May, the swim portion of the Chattanooga Half IRONMAN was also cancelled because of similar reasons.
