BEAUMONT, Texas — Hundreds of golfers participated in the 27th annual Chevron Phillips Charity Golf Tournament at Bayou Din Golf Course, with all proceeds supporting Buckner Children and Family Services.

The tournament featured contests including longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and a hole-in-one challenge. Participants competed throughout the day while raising money for the local organization that has served Southeast Texas for more than 55 years.

"This is a huge fundraiser and they love partnering with us. This is one of their signature events, they are excited and we are excited for all the folks that come out for this effort," said Chevron Phillips Plant Manager Carrie Phillips.

Phillips said the company has raised $4.7 million for Buckner since the tournament began in 1999.
