HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police arrested two people accused of causing thousands of dollars in damage to parked vehicles in Honolulu early Friday morning.

Officers responded to Beretania Community Park at Aala and North Kukui streets at around 2:15 a.m. and located the suspects, a 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman.

According to police, both were placed in handcuffs when the man became disorderly and kicked an officer.

He was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault against a law enforcement officer in the first degree.

The woman was arrested for criminal property damage in the second degree.

The officer drove himself to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released.
