COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A suspect driving a stolen car was found with meth and fentanyl, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said officers found a stolen Dodge Charger and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled.

Police said they continued to watch the Dodge as it drove onto Frost Drive.

According to police, the driver, 48-year-old Michael Archuleta, and two passengers left the vehicle and were contacted on North Murray Boulevard.

Upon contacting Achuleta, police said he was in possession of misdemeanor amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

According to CSPD, Archuleta had a history of weapons offenses, escape and motor vehicle theft.
