Colson Montgomery hit a two-run ninth-inning homer and the visiting Chicago White Sox rallied past the Washington Nationals, overcoming the Nats' six home runs for a 10-9 win after blowing an 8-1 lead on Friday night.

With one out in the ninth, Kyle Teel grounded to Jose A. Ferrer (4-4), who dropped the ball while running toward first for an error. Montgomery then homered to right center to give Chicago the lead.

With Washington trailing 8-5, CJ Abrams led off the eighth inning against Jordan Leasure with a walk and Josh Bell singled. Daylen Lile homered to right and the game was tied 8-8. One out later, Luis Garcia Jr. smacked his third home run of the night, and 16th of the season, to put Washington in front.
