One of Lubbock's newer Starbucks locations will be shut down this weekend, along with many across the U.S.
A message to employees, issued Wednesday, stated that 1% of stores would close across the brand, a move that follows CEO Brian Niccol's Back to Starbucks transformation strategy, according to USATODAY. Starbucks did not release a list of closing stores, though paper signs started popping up on affected locations.
Those papers were taped to the door and drive-thru window of the Lubbock store at 6005 Slide Road . This location opened in early March of 2024.
