PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Matt Varney’s crew won in dominating fashion for the third consecutive week, routing Pike Co. Central, 55-14.

The Pirates raced out to a 21-0 lead after one quarter of play.

Belfry would also add 21 points in the second stanza.

JB Woolum scored a rushing touchdown, which put the Pirates up, 28-0.

After forcing the Hawks to punt, Chase Varney connected with Cayden Varney from 25 yards out to extend the margin to 35-0.

One more score from Ace Caudill on the ground put the Pirates up 42-0 heading into the locker room.

The Pirates return to action on Thursday, Oct. 2 for a 7:30 p.m. kick against East Ridge.

Pike Co. Central will take on Shelby Valley for a 7:30 p.m. kick on Oct. 3.
