Aaron Rodgers has been fighting a lot of old demons in 2025. First, his battle with father time led to a spring where he seemed to oscillate between retiring at 41 and giving football one more shot.

In a Steelers uniform, he has battled his diminished status – he came to the Jets in 2023 as the saviour of Gotham City, only for team leadership to realise that too much power in Rodgers’ hands was not a recipe for success.
