The four goals scored against him, in a match in England’s fourth tier last week, were not the only salvos aimed at Joe Murphy, the Dubliner who played in goal for Tranmere Rovers at the age of 44.
“I got stick at Walsall, they were asking me where was my wheelchair and my Zimmer frame but it’s all good fun, I don’t mind,” says Murphy.
