The lawmakers are coming

"We're really trying to plan for the impact of these changes across our health care system, across our food system," she said.

Upon announcing the Oct. 1 special session, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham indicated lawmakers will consider "a package of measures that could include" new investments in food assistance, funding for public broadcasting, and health care affordability and stabilization efforts — all of which have been subject to major changes in federal funding in recent months.
