Hyderabad, Sep 27 (UNI) Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Saturday said that all precautionary measures are being taken to ensure people do not face hardships due to heavy rains and floods in Hyderabad.

In a statement, he stated that families affected by the flooding in catchment areas, following the lifting of gates at the twin reservoirs, have been shifted to rehabilitation centres.

Around 500 people displaced from Shankar Nagar have been accommodated at the Shahzadi Mosque in GHH temporary shelters, while 150 persons are staying at the Musa Nagar Community Hall in Malakpet Circle. About 45 families from Durga Nagar and Ambedkar Nagar have taken shelter at the Government High School near Musaram Bagh Bridge.
