L’ANSE — The Jeffers Jets volleyball team notched their third win a row on Thursday with a 3-0 sweep of the L’Anse Purple Hornets, 25-14, 25-19 and 25-20.

“I am very happy with the way the girls played tonight,” said Jets coach Rachel Sondergrath. “I liked our defense. We really covered the floor well.”

She added that good service was key and that started in the first set. With Lainey Aisala at the line, the Jets (4-4) jumped out to a 7-4 lead. Just minutes later, teammate Montanna Heinonen posted a service run of six to put the Jets up 21-14. They scored the last four points to close the set.

The second set was L’Anse’s best as Kwynn Voskuhl pushed her team out to a 5-0 lead at the service line. However, the Jets quickly regrouped and bounced back thanks to Kylee Andrews. She posted a
