BEIJING - Canada's Victoria Mboko fell 7-6 (5), 7-5 to Russia's Anastasia Potapova in second-round action of the China Open tennis tournament on Friday.
Mboko had one ace to 11 double faults in the two-hour, six-minute match.
The 19-year-old from Toronto also broke on four of her seven chances but only won 52.5 per cent of her first-serve points.
Potapova, meanwhile, had two aces and one double fault and broke on five of her 16 opportunities.
She also won 53.5 per cent of her first-serve points.
Leylah Fernandez of Laval, Que., is set to face second-seeded Coco Gauff of the United States on Saturday as the only Canadian left in the tournament.
