Spanish Springs asserted its dominance early and rolled over Reed in their rivalry game, while Bishop Manogue and Douglas did the same in blowout wins.

Spanish Springs beat Reed, 49-15, Bishop Manogue beat Galena, 41-9, and Douglas beat Damonte Ranch, 42-19 in high school football.

But the Reno-McQueen game provided all the thrills in high school football on Friday night.

After McQueen got out to a 27-8 lead late in the third quarter, the Huskies stormed back to tie the game at 30 and send it into overtime.

The Lancers prevailed in overtime, taking a 37-36 win in that rivalry game.

And Wooster scored 13 points in the final minute to beat Hug, 22-18, after Hug led 18-7 with five minutes remaining in the game.
