New Delhi: On September 27, 2520, Google celebrated its 27th birthday with a throwback to the past. The tech giant has released a special Doodle that recreates its first-ever logo back in 1998, a reminder of how much it has evolved ever since its early garage days. It began as a research project at Stanford University and has since become a leader in technology, search and currently artificial intelligence throughout the world.
Not only does the birthday doodle create some nostalgia, but it also brings about a renewed interest in a design decision we usually do not pay much attention to, the green ‘L’ in the Google logo. The rest of the letters have bright primary colours, but the ‘L’ is different, which arouses the controversy over whether it was a design mistake or a happy accident.
