100 Years Ago, 1925: An elaborate program has been arranged and will be carried out tomorrow afternoon at the church of St. Anthony of Padua, Third and Franklin streets, when an American and Italian flag, recently presented to the Holy Name Society, of that church, will be blessed by the Rev. Anthony Garritano, assisted by the assistant rectors of the church and visiting clergy. The services at which the flags will be blessed, will begin at 2.30 o’clock. Both flags are silk and handmade. The sponsors for the American flag will be Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Repetto, and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Crisante have been selected as sponsors for the Italian flag.
