Shiv Sena (UBT) President and former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday demanded that flood-hit farmers in the state be given an absolute farm loan waiver. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should announce an assistance of at least Rs 50,000 crore from the PM CARES fund during his upcoming visit to the state.
Thackeray also called for the boycott of the Asia Cup final, where India and Pakistan are set to play against each other on Sunday, and appealed to the sponsors to back out.
