Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday said India has secured a place among the select group of nations capable of manufacturing telecom equipment, following the launch of BSNL’s indigenous 4G stack. With this milestone, the country has become the fifth nation worldwide to achieve such capability.
Scindia said the achievement signals a dramatic shift in India’s global standing. “Earlier, India was a service nation, but now we are a producer nation. Earlier, we were seen as a consumer nation, but today, we are an innovation, entrepreneurship and exports centre," he remarked.
The nationwide launch of the BSNL Swadeshi 4G stack, unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Odisha, is expected to bridge connectivity gaps in remote areas. Scindia underlined that regions suc
