SRINAGAR : Police in central Kashmir’s Budgam arrested a young drug peddler during a patrol in Magam area on Saturday, recovering a quantity of contraband from his possession. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

According to officials, a police party from Police Post Narbal, led by Head Constable Shabir Ahmad, was patrolling near the railway track at Bachipora village when they intercepted a suspicious individual. On noticing the police, the youth attempted to flee but was quickly chased down and apprehended. A search of his belongings led to the recovery of 63 grams of wet charas-like substance.

The accused was identified as Rouf Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, a resident of Hardu Aboora. Police said a case under FIR No. 150/2025 has been registered at Police
