LIn a significant push towards achieving universal health coverage, the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the addition of 10,023 medical seats across government colleges and hospitals. The initiative, backed by an investment of Rs. 15,034 crore, aims to strengthen India’s medical education infrastructure and address the shortage of healthcare professionals, particularly in underserved rural and tribal areas.
