Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has sanctioned Rs 60.36 crore to pay the 1.2 lakh enumerators engaged in the state’s Socio-Educational Survey, which began on September 22, The New Indian Express reported on Saturday.

Each enumerator will receive a flat Rs 5,000, along with Rs 100 for every household surveyed, while supervisory officers will be paid Rs 10,000 each. Enumerators working in Greater Bengaluru Authority areas will receive higher allowances to cover additional expenses.

Payments will reportedly be disbursed in phases, starting with an initial installment of Rs 5,000 per enumerator this month, followed by similar payments in subsequent months. Supervisors will also receive Rs 10,000 per phase.
