Leh (Ladakh), Sept 27: Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh, SD Singh Jamwal, on Saturday alleged activist Sonam Wangchuk’s links with Pakistan and raised questions about his visits to neighbouring countries amid the ongoing investigation into the September 24 Leh violence.

Addressing a press conference in Leh, DGP Jamwal said police had recently arrested a Pakistan PIO who was reportedly in contact with Wangchuk. “He had attended a Dawn event in Pakistan and also visited Bangladesh. Investigation is being done,” the DGP stated, raising a “big question mark” on Wangchuk’s international connections.
