Lately, I have wished that Christianity was an irrelevant, outdated pile of nonsense. I have secretly wished it really was a harmless escape from reality that didn’t impact my daily life or the world around me. I have wished it really was a placid fantasy-filled, pie-in-the sky myth that didn’t affect anyone or anything.

Sadly, that’s not the case. If it was that innocuous, I wouldn’t have a pit in my stomach or cringe opening the newspaper every morning.
