The Trump administration and the Department of Education announced late Thursday that New Hampshire will receive more than $1 million in delayed federal funding through the TRIO Program — though millions in funding intended to help underrepresented students succeed remains outstanding, pending an ongoing appeals process.

Manchester school officials and members of the state’s congressional delegation recently sent letters urging the Trump administration to rethink its decision to defund the programs, which support more than 5,000 students in New Hampshire — many of whom attend Manchester schools.
