A metro man is jailed and accused of viciously attacking his 74-year-old mother in the parking lot of an Edmond country club.
The victim and several witnesses called 911. On the call, the victim is heard shouting for help, as concerned witnesses tried to intervene.
The victim later explained to police that she planned on driving her 48-year-old son to work when he attempted to steal her car.
Witnesses reported a man later identified as Donald Chadwell the second, banging a woman's head into the dashboard and pulling her hair.
Police said they found Chadwell's mother visibly shaken, having suffered broken teeth in the attack and missing clumps of hair.
Chadwell was arrested and remains in jail.
