Countryside Recreation Center in Surprise will transform into a festive destination for this year’s Monster Bash event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at 15038 N. Parkview Place.

The city said it is hosting a “fangtastic” family affair with dancing, games, arts and crafts, STEM activities, snacks and a costume contest.

Costumes will be judged in six categories: scariest, funniest, cutest, most creative, best overall and family-themed.

Pre-registration is encouraged because space is limited. Registration is required for each entry, including parents.

The cost is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents. Children aged 2 and under are free.
