NORTH BELLPORT, Long Island (WABC) -- Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured two teenagers in North Bellport on Friday night.

They were walking eastbound across Station Road at the intersection of Patchogue Avenue when a white SUV hit them at 9:38 p.m.

The vehicle then fled south toward Montauk Highway, police said.

D'Ajiah Mitchell, 15, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.

Kevin Reese, 14, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk County with minor injuries.
