Duncannon Borough Council heard a lively round of public comment Sept. 16, as residents raised concerns over road conditions, brush overgrowth, and visibility issues at key intersections.

Longtime resident John Rice pressed council about the use of liquid fuels money and urged quicker repairs, recounting his own encounters with potholes and overhanging tree limbs. Borough officials explained that road paving must wait until aging underground water and sewer lines are replaced, some of which are more than 80 years old.

Council members also noted that recent efforts by Penn Twp. workers to patch potholes and cut brush were part of cooperative work between the municipalities.
