No matter how mega it may be, Clark County’s original megachurch doesn’t pretend to have all the answers.

What it does have, leaders of Crossroads Community Church said, is compassion for everyone asking today’s difficult questions.

As Crossroads celebrates its 50th anniversary this season, its leadership team discussed with The Columbian the joys and challenges of creating and maintaining a diverse and large faith community — as well as the futility of trying to be everything to everyone during a time of deep division in American society.

“I don’t know that we do have it down,” said Daniel Fusco, 49, the lead pastor at Crossroads . “But Jesus straddled all sorts of divisions during his time. He had people on every side of every issue.”
