A technical glitch during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Rajasthan’s Banswara earlier this week has led to the removal of senior IAS officer Archana Singh from her post as secretary of the state’s Department of Information Technology and Communication (IT&C), The Indian Express has learnt.

In an order it issued on September 25, the IT & C department, which was primarily responsible for technical arrangements at the prime minister’s public meeting in Banswara’s Napla village on September 25, cited “administrative reasons” for its decision. However, according to sources, higher authorities in Jaipur and Delhi were unhappy with the technical faults that occurred during the prime minister’s speech.
