A Big Apple-based production company claims “Independence Day” and “Kill Bill” actress Vivica A. Fox accepted tens of thousands to star in a 2024 movie but never actually made it to the film’s set.
Brand New Entertainment estimates in a recent legal filing it’s lost more than $75,000 since Fox, 61, backed out of filming for “The Return of Omotara Jackson,” a planned reboot of the 2008 Nigerian Yoruba drama that starred Bukky Wright as a woman who murders her best friend to steal her lover.
The lawsuit was filed this week in Manhattan Federal Court, and alleges breach of contract and unjust enrichment. It also names Fox’s longtime agent and manager, Sheila Legette, 63. 3
